Work is so busy during these days and I usually get only Sunday free. This time I decided to spend it writing in an irresistible coffee shop, ordering this beautiful french toast (with my favourite maple syrup!) and ice tea instead of coffee itself.
And to fulfill my commitment of productive Sunday, here I write another major throwback post about Copenhagen.
københavn.
and
Note: I listened to happy romantic french cafe music here. Have been listening to this for a few weeks to boost my mood, as I'm also planning my visit to Paris this spring!
Back to Copenhagen. The thing is, this city is full of statues. Mint-coloured bronze (I think?) statues almost everywhere. I'm not an art addict and I've got almost zero knowledge and taste about statue but when I see them there, I just know that they were beautiful. As I ran through my gallery, I realised I got a handful pictures of them and here they are!
Valkyrie
Hans Christian Andersen
As I mentioned in this post, I literally didn't expect anything in Copenhagen. When I walked into Rosenborg Castle, I hadn't got any idea about the place. I walked through quiet and serene garden (it was Sunday winter morning at 10 a.m., and I was literally the only person I could notice!), suddenly thought about fairy tale palaces, and then saw this statue...
When I got closer I read in the plaque this was H.C. Andersen statue. I googled almost instantly about him and just known he was a Danish and I was like "oh, no wonder he could write such fairy tale stories if he grew up in this fairy tale kind of country!"
I remember taking lots of picture of the statue but could only save that one!

Moses
As I wondering around Assistens Kirkegaard, I passed through a statue name "Moses". I used to think, as written in the plaque, that this was Michaelangelo's Moses, but then found out that this was a bronze copy of it.
The little mermaid
As icon of Copenhagen, this statue is probably the most popular among others. It took me some time until I got chance taking these pictures, as the location was full of tourists.![]() |
