Chao Phraya river is much more better at night than day. This day I got more opportunity to explore it.

After an tiresome yet awesome trip to Pattaya a day before, our group had a bit full list-to-visit places this day. One place with another was not located in one area and this day's mobility was so high. To help with this, we relied on two transportation mods: taxis and tuktuk.
To summarise our visited places this day...

View from tuktuk. It was a bit uncivilised for four persons. |
1. Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall
2. Pratunam Market
3. Asiatique
4. Khaosan Road
Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall
The day was started by visiting Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall. How to get there? We took a cab from our hotel! We were still tired and could not think hahahhaha. The location is next to Bangkok zoo, for information.
If someone shows less-than-a-week Grand Palace ticket, one can come to Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall without any charge. There are some rules for visitors, such as: no pants long skirt only (or sarong), no food, drink and camera in exhibition hall. All belongings should be kept on provided locker.
The place was SOOOOO pretty like in Versailles! (I have never been to Versailles and it was just in my imagination hahahhaha). Previously the place was restricted for visitors, but these days the throne was one of popular tourist attraction in Bangkok.
As expected, beautiful photos for beautiful place!
And more pictures here...
Pratunam Market
Right at noon we left Ananta Samakhom and riding tuktuk to reach Pratunam Market. Wikipedia says that it is Thailand's largest clothing market and yes... it was very large and crowded. Well, I did not take any picture here as I was too busy shopping (or at least took a look on cheap clothes and yeah they were all so cheap!).
Most of clothes sold are umm, Korean style? With cheap price around THB70-250 (around IDR28,000-80,000) we can get a dress with latest model and this can even be cheaper if we buy at least three pieces. I got an oversized sweater for THB140 each for three pieces purchase. I bought one for me, one for my sister and joined with my friend for the last piece. For one who wants to have clothing store, this place a recommended one for purchase.
Fortunately, Pratunam Market's location was near my hotel and we only needs to walk for around 20 minutes. Between Pratunam and Siam Swana there was Indonesian Embassy and we spent a little time asking the security whether the embassy held Eid Al Adha pray on the next day. And it did! What a relieve, as we were feeling guilty a bit for not being in Indonesia for this holy day.
It was around 3 p.m when we arrived in the hotel preparing for next destination.
Asiatique
Asiatique is... another 'one stop shopping' place with a cute concept. For anybody who likes taking picture, well this place is photogenic. And it has 'Bangkok Eye'.
From Central Tier, there are free boats delivering people to Asiatique and vice versa. The boat color is pink, if I'm not mistaken. Come early in the evening, as the boat will be more in decent condition. The night visitors of Asiatique are quite ... a lot.

Located in the opposite of exhibition hall, visitors need to come here first to put belongings in free locker. |

And selfie here...
Near this throne was Dusit Palace, with traditional design. Well based on my online source (wikipedia, of course) Ananta Samakhom was actually reception hall of Dusit Palace, but currently it attracts more visitors than the palace itself. However, the Palace itself was really really beautiful. Unfortunately the security forbid me taking too much pictures. I wanted to come in (yes the palace is also opened as museum) but my friends did not any intention on doing it so I just walked around enjoying that pretty Palace. Ticket for Dusit Palace is also free if we have Grand Palace ticket.

Khaosan Road
Probably the most famous places among western visitors, Khaosan Road has its image as a backpacker ghetto, offering cheap accommodations and various local and international food alongside western style nightlife. This place is also popular with its exotic food: scorpions, centipedes, etc in which we were asked to pay while taking pictures.
