A good trip always needs a good commitment, especially on what time we start moving. And during this trip, we decided to move at 8 every morning. Did not get any free hotel breakfast (oh yeah, we took the cheapest room), we bought meals on the way.

I have no clue on what is written but I think she sells tomyum soup. I did not buy it. |
Bangkok street foods are huuuummmm tempting! They are everywhere, cheap, offers variable meals, but I could not take most of them. Most of their dishes are served with pork or lard and I could not eat them or anything that have had contact with them. So, if a stall sells grilled chicken and grilled pork, okay bye bye chicken. But there were also some stalls offering 'safe' meals, like....

Fries (fried banana, fried sweet potato, fried cassava, etc) I assumed they use sesame oil in frying hahahaha |

Our first destination today was The Grand Palace Bangkok. This place is number one on my list as must-visited place in Bangkok. We took BTS from Ratchathewi Station, transit in Siam Station and continued to Saphan Thaksin Station (the journey took around 30 minutes with waiting time) on the bank of Chao Phraya/Mekong River.
Walking down under the Station, there was boat station (called 'Pier') number 0, or so called Central Pier. Many boats passed through the river and we took orange-flagged boat to Pier No 9, Tha Chang Pier. The journey took about 20 minutes. The boat was full and mostly we need to stand in the boat. It cost THB 15 per person to reach Tha Chang Pier from Central Pier.

Arrived in Tha Chang Pier, we walked a bit through a small (and overpriced) market and found the great wall of the Grand Palace at the end.

It's hot hot summer. |
The earlier you go, the better your visit will be. The Grand Palace Area is one of the most popular tourist destination in Bangkok and always full of visitor. Most of them came from other Asia countries such as China, South Korea and Japan. I came at 10 o'clock and by the end of my visit at 13 o'clock, the area was full full of incoming tourists. And also, we were required to were long and polite dress.
To visit Grand Palace, we need to spend THB 500 on ticket. Below is some of our pictures in Grand Palace.

It's fine to have a lot of selfies....
Well, I think I need to attach some pictures of Grand Palace also...
Okay last night I learned to make video with Windows Movie Maker and it seems cute hahhaha. Why didn't I try it earlier? Never mind.
So our journey continued to.... Wat Pho. This buddhist temple is located just behind Grand Palace Area. We took walk from one place to another, finding that 'behind' was not as simple as we thought because the complex was soooooooo big. We were so exhausted when the time arriving in Wat Pho, paying THB 100 for ticket and getting free mineral water. Maybe Wat Pho management got many many exhausted visitors.

Actually there were a lot of smaller temples in the complex but as we were too tired to walk around, we just sat around drinking water and move to the next destination.
Crossing Chao Phraya river with THB 3 fare boat, Wat Arun was located in the opposite of Wat Pho. Bangkok's weather that time was unstable: very hot at noon and cloudy later, in the exact time we arrived at Wat Arun. The sky got darker and some lighting happened.
What we did then was taking pictures in rush in outer area, not really coming into the temple as the rain started to fall. If you want to come into the temple, the fare is THB 50 per person.

Look at the dark dark sky! |
As the condition did not support us to continue the journey... we went back into hotel right after completing tour in Wat Arun. We spent the night in MBK Mall in Siam, buying Nestea Thai Ice Tea my friends requested.
And sleeping.
