Lemon Honey Ginger Chicken with Seared String Beans

This morning when I woke up, I decided to cook for my dinner. After an extensive recipe research (ceilah) in google, I came to decision on making this simple yet pretty dish: Lemon Honey Ginger Chicken with Seared String Beans.
Lemon Honey Ginger Chicken with Seared String Beans



















Lemon Honey Ginger Chicken

Preparation time: 30-60 minutes
Cooking time: about 20 minutes

Ingredients
To marinate:
two cuts of whole chicken thighs, each divided into upper and lower thigh (you will get 4 cuts)

four tablespoons of salty soy sauce
salty soy sauce, I used exactly that brand

1 cm of minced ginger

half teaspoon of pepper powder
white pepper powder

Lemon Honey Ginger Sauce:
two cloves of sliced garlic

a slice of lemon
lemon slice, use only one because the taste is so strong

40 ml of honey or two sachet of Madurasa
honey, yes I used that brand

1 cm of sliced ginger

two tablespoons of margarine or butter
margarine, yes I used that brand

three tablespoon of salty soy sauce
salty soy sauce, I used exactly that brand

Cooking Steps
1. Marinate chicken: mix all marinate ingredients in a bowl, make sure that the seasoning has been evenly spread on the chicken. Keep this marinade for 30-120 minutes, the longer the better as it gives the seasoning well permeated.

2. With high heat, fry chicken on a pan, drain when it is half-cooked.

3. With low hear, fry margarine, sliced garlic and sliced ginger until the aroma comes out. Add honey and soy sauce. Put the half-cooked chicken and add water if necessary. Add salt and put the lemon slice in the end. Cover and let the mixture caramelised.

4. Serve the chicken.


Seared String Beans

Preparation time: about 10 minutes
Cooking time: about 15 minutes

Ingredients
three ounces of string beans, cut the edges

Cooking Steps
1. With low heat, fry margarine and garlic until the aroma comes out.
2. Put green beans on the frying pan, add water if necessary.
3. Season the green beans: add pepper, lemon juice, lemon zest and sugar.
4. Cover the mixture and let it caramelises itself.
5. Serve the seared green beans.

Nah you can try this for your own. Any adjustment in seasoning can be tried to advance the taste hehehhe. Let's cook!
